I am a 60 something woman who was born and raised in West Texas. My parents ranched and farmed. I was blessed to grow up on a horse. I earned a BA in Communication Disorders from Texas Tech. I am a Christian woman who has been married to the same man, remarkably, for 38 years. We have 2 adult sons, 1 old rescue dog, 2 horses, and 2 granddogs. I’m not sure when I started thinking about blogging. it was probably 7-8 years ago when we were dealing with my mother’s dementia. Someone told me I should post about it because I had kept my sense of humor in all of the chaos. But, I’m a procrastinator with a lot of self-doubts so I’m just now beginning this adventure. I want to share some things I’ve learned over the years, some things I’ve done well and a lot of things I wish I had done differently. I love golf, rodeos, horse races, traveling and studying the Bible. I cherish the time I get to share a bottle of wine or drink a pot of coffee with my friends. Ok, right now I feel like I’m writing for some kind of dating website–this is uncomfortable, writing about myself. Anyway, if you have interest in any of those things follow along. I hope that you will find some humor, wisdom, peace and joy here.
There is nothing better for people than to be happy and to do good while they live. Ecclesiastes 3:12

Hello Candy, I miss seeing your sweet face. Looking forward to reading this often.
I do miss all of my Midland BSF friends. I started out in a night satellite class. Kind of didn’t realize what it was when I started but am now in day class. Our group helped with kids 2nd week I was there and they now have me on sub list. You know how I love those little ones.
Excited for you! Looking forward to your blog.
